The Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church Association's (WELCA)
Purpose:
Oct. 2008: WELCA Crochet Class: WELCA would like to begin a prayer shawl ministry. We will be offering beginning and refresher crochet classes for both right and left handers. If you are interested, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex, indicating your interest and whether you would like to join a class to learn or to refresh your crocheting skills.
We are a community of women created in the image of God, called to
discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We
commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in
our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and
wholeness, in the church, in the society, and the world.
The
biggest fund raiser is the annual Strawberry Fest held in July of each year
at Trinity Lutheran Church.
